PLEASE PRAY...Could you please put out this prayer request.  Bill's brother from Brooklyn called us this morning and he found his only son overdosed on drugs.  Needless to say, we are a bit rattled right now. Please pray for Adam's soul, that God will forgive him and allow him to enter though the gates of heaven to be with his mother, whom he lost at 9 years old! Thank you! - Blessings!  Pat

My sister, Martha is in the hospital in Vermont. They have found a mass near her esophagus. She was having a hard time breathing. What complicates this is that she has a long term mental illness. They also found her liver not functioning properly, which goes to years of medication to keep her stable. They have had to take her off her medication. The concern is not only her current poor health and the need for testing, but that she may have a breakdown without any medication.She has a 12 year old daughter who needs her Mom. Just a quick note to let you all know that Judy Madia was taken to the hospital last night.  They thought it may be her heart so she was transferred to HealthPark.  We have no other information than that.  I'm sure they will be taking all kinds of tests this morning. I'll send new information as soon as I have it.  I haven't been able to reach her husband so I am sure Joe is still at the hospital.  For the time being please keep her in your prayers. Carole

Many of you may remember Carlos Mussenden as a member of our Parish and the Knights of Columbus while he lived here in Cape Coral. I am sad to say that Carlos passed away Monday evening in New York at the age of 101 and the funeral mass for him will be on Thursday, October 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Katharine Drexel. Please pass this on to all those that knew him and do not have email.

After 8 treatments, my grandmother has only a little bit of cancer left. The prognosis was not good---she had lymphatic cancer in her bones and lymphatic system. It is truly a miracle. She will have a few more treatments to knock it out completely. She did not even get sick from the treatment. We are eternally grateful for God's mercy and compassion. My granddaughter Melanie has Endometriosis and has had surgery once for it but now they have found 2 cysts on an overy and think the Endo might be back.  She is having such a hard time with this.  Like all of us when we were young, she wants to have children and it is not looking good.  - Love, Nancy Grimaldi

Many have asked about Donna Augustein and she has completed her radiation and the hair is growing back and she looks and feels stronger.  She still has a ways to go but she is thankful for all your prayer and assistance. Continue to keep her in your prayers for when she meets with the doctors in the next week or so.  There are still some concerns. She will keep me posted. She is still out of work and taking one day at time. You are powerful prayer warriors so keep those prayers coming.

Lou Rubio is getting a by-pass surgery (several) at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.  Many of you may know Lou Rubio but if you do not let me tell you that he was one of the writers for our 3-Day Manual used when you serve on team. Some of you may have had the privilege of hearing him speak at your closing or at your 4th Day. He is a Cursillista that is truly admired by many. I would like to request prayers for my dad who was hospitalized last Thursday and was just moved into the ICU Monday night.  Although they don't know the cause of his illness, his kidneys have failed necessitating dialysis and they are unable to identify the source of an infection that is believed to be throughout his body.
