Grace's lab tests, and last week's biopsy indicate that the breast cancer has spread to her bones.
She is immediately scheduled for hormonal chemo to inhibit further spread and bone treatments to prevent bone fractures or breaks.
Needless to say, our whole schedule of activities is now "on hold". We have a meeting with her oncologist this coming Friday
to discuss the situation, and I'll apprise you of the results of that meeting. Please pray for Grace!

My dad, Bob Plazewski Sr. was admitted to the hospital this morning.
He was having shortness in his breathing. They ran some tests and found that he has congestive heart failure
and also fluid on the lungs. He is 81 yrs. old. Please keep him in your prayers.

Please pray for my father, Jerry. He is in poor health to begin with but had a mild heart attack on Friday.
Today he was found in his hospital room slumped over and had to be resuscitated.

This weekend our brothers and sisters in Christ at St Cecilia Church, Ft Myers
are doing a presentation at all the masses to inform their parish of the Cursillo Movement.
They are all wearing a Cursillo Shirt to help the congregation identify them as they do the various duties during mass (greeting etc).
Pray that they are received with love and that they stir the minds and hearts of others to come hear more about our wonderful

I would like to thank our Heavenly Father for His love. My cousin Anthony is coming along.
He is still hospitalized and in much pain. The doctors are hopeful they removed all of the cancer.
He underwent 15 hours of surgery on June 6, 2008.
I told him that we are all praying for him and he wanted to thank each and everyone of you.
It is wonderful to have so many people praying for someone they don’t even know.

JoAnn DiNagris learned this weekend that her cousin Anthony was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer.
He is having surgery on Friday, June 6, 2008.
The doctors are removing 80% of his liver and most of the colon.
Please keep Anthony in your prayers as he has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

Yesterday Grace's oncologist told her that she thinks Grace now has bone cancer.
She is on some new medication and will be scheduled for additional tests over the next two months,
so God alone knows what's next. Please remember her in your prayers.

Both are doing very well. My brother-in-law's progress is slow but sure, and there is no sign of the leukemia.

They arrived at Wake Forest last night after being rear ended on the interstate ramp ( Please Lord, keep all travel safe for them )
Marty will be having another craniotomy tomorrow.
We pray that the Holy Spirit guides the surgeon's hands to remove all fluid that they have found and that this will be
the final surgery for Marty. We pray also for a FULL and easy recovery with NO side effects.

Alicia has been moved, she is now in a hospital for brain injuries.
Unfortunately she can only stay there for two weeks and they are not seeing much progress...
In the mean time they also discovered that she has a fractured pelvis.
This is only going to delay any rehab for her leg.
She still has to have one surgery for her leg and then deal with the issue with her heart.
Her pain level is getting more tolerable, but she is still so confused.
Laura (her mom) is really struggling and concerned about her own strength through this.
She is meeting with an attorney this morning and is in contact with MADD for some help through this.

Alicia Tepfer is having a team of surgeons work on her ankle as well as her knee.
She is still in extreme pain and is very agitated because of the head trauma.
She had some more testing done and they found another problem, unrelated to the accident.
They found a cyst a little larger than an orange in the sack of her heart.
If you'd like to send a card to Alicia, Laura (her mom) will hang on to them until Alicia can receive them (contact ALice or Margaret for address).
I think it would be a real blessing for her to see how many people have been lifting her up in prayer.
Laura wants everyone to know how much she appreciates all the thoughts and prayers.

The latest on Alicia is that they are slowly taking her out of the medically induced coma to try to see how she will do.
She is in extreme pain. It appears the swelling in her head may be going down.
She is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday for her knee and her ankle.
He did not know what the status is on her spleen.
It looks like these are all very positive changes, but it is just going to be a very slow process.
Please pray for Alicia for her continued healing and to have the strength to get through all that she is going to have to endure in the next several weeks and pray for Laura as she helps Alicia through this time, and makes plans for whatever Alicia's needs may be in the future.

Amy passed away at 5:00 a.m. this morning at Hope Hospice. There will be a viewing this Wednesday at Coral Ridge Chapel at 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
and there will be a Funeral Mass at St Katharine Drexel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24th with a reception at SKD Parish Hall for family and friends following.
I must tell you that Ken shared how he always asked Amy to give him a sign that she was in Heaven once she passed away.
She died at 5:00 a.m. with her mouth open and when the Hospice nurse came into the room at 7:30 a.m. while the family was there and announced,
"Look, Amy is smiling at all of you". Ken knew this was her sign. Her mouth was now closed and a smile on her face. They knew she was telling them she was happy in the arms of Jesus.

Laura was just notified that her daughter was in a head-on car accident earlier today.
Both her knees are fractured, ribs broken, spleen was punctured and fluid is collecting on her brain.
Her name is Alicia Tepfer and she is in her early 20's;
Alicia has already experienced personal loss of a child in her short life as well.
We have not heard yet what the prognosis is or if she will survive this tragic accident.
Please ask all of our Cursillistas to pray for Alicia and her family...

She will have a total of 20 radiation treatments...The start of chemo will overlap the latter part of the radiation.

Just got this email from Judy Madia regarding Marty and Kathy. Please pray.
Kathy just called ( 10p.m. ) and said that Marty was being admitted to the hospital and asked for prayers from everyone
He fell earlier today when he was dizzy and they are looking into " why " he was dizzy and fell.
Pray that the doctors diagnose a reason and that Marty heals and for strength for Kathy
